Blog 2 - The Best Holidays Ever

The best holiday I ever had was in February 2020, just before the pandemic started, the truth is that I feel very fortunate for that. It was a trip I made through Europe with my aunt, we went to different countries like France, Spain, Italy, Germany and United Kingdom. The trip lasted a month, which seems like a lot, but to know so many wonderful places the truth is that we lacked time.

 

We did a tour, for each of these countries, we arrived to the capitals and we had about 1 day where a guide gave us a tour and then we could walk around the places by ourselves, that was definitely the most fun, but I must admit that there were places where we got lost, but at the end of the trip we learned and we even rode the subway. 

I think there were 2 moments that were the best of all, the first one was in France, where at night in a boat we sailed on the Seine river in front of the Eiffel tower and it was full of lights, that was spectacular. However, I think my favorite moment was in Venice, it was a beautiful place and all the people were very loving, but the best was when we got on the gondolas, riding on the water and passing under the bridges touring the city, definitely a unique moment.

A not very funny fact: In the UK you can find squirrels everywhere, I almost got bitten by one, they are not very friendly.

Blog 1 - A Country I would like to visit

 Traveling was always a dream for me, but the truth is that it is very expensive, until last year I had only gone to Argentina on my study tour, but one of my aunts took me on a trip that she was going to make, and last year, before the pandemic started, I had the opportunity to travel through Europe, it was beautiful and I fulfilled the dream of visiting several countries that I wanted.

The truth is that I had not thought about what country I would like to visit now, but thinking about it, I think I would like to visit the United States, because there is one specific place that I would like to visit and that place is New Orleans, it is a city located in Louisiana, it is a place with a lot of history, history about different topics, but the stories of vampires, witches and werewolves stand out. Actually there are many tours about the history of these characters in the city. 

On the other hand, this is a place where there are many carnivals and festivals, people are completely free. To explain, let's say that at the end of each carnival more than 100 people are arrested.

 The art is also son important in here is a place where music stands out, especially jazz, it is what is heard in the street, the streets are full of musicians, it is also a place full of art, which I love since I make paintings. The people that live there, they express themselves in all possible ways and invite those who attend to the city to participate in their activities. There is not a boring day.

I also love that this place is known for its acceptance, in this place your sexual preferences, your style, your physique do not matter, they are all accepted, if you go there they will treat you as if they have known you for years.
                                                                      

 

I really would love to visit this place and stay for a while, especially I would like to go during one of the carnivals, it would be great to go during Mardi Gras, the most important and well-known carnival in New Orleans, this festival begins in January and ends at the end February with the parade of Masks and costumes.

For me is a place to relax, enjoy and have fun.
