BLOG 5 - My Future Job

 As we know I am currently studying to become a psychologist, it is a career that so far I have loved and has completely fulfilled my expectations.

Referring to the future, hopefully I will be able to work as a psychologist, however, I do not see myself working in an office every day, the field I am really interested in entering is forensic psychology. There are different postgraduate degrees to specialize in, as there are different fields in which you can work. A forensic psychologist specializes in dealing with criminal cases, where they are faced with situations such as court proceedings, psychological profiling, interviewing suspects, or even testifying about a criminal's mental state in front of a jury.  

I would love to travel with this job and the possibilities are there, as long as help is needed, I could travel to different places giving my professional opinion. The salary is within the stipulated range due to the career, but it is increasing, depending on the institution I am in.

BLOG 4 - My Pet

She is 3 years old and she is a german shepherd.

My grandmother gave her to me when she was only one month old, she was very small, it was the first time we had a female pet, it was a totally new experience, I really suffered when she was spayed, I was not able to put the cone on her, but she behaved very well and she didn't even lick the wound, so she healed very well.

She is beautiful, I think she is the most beautiful dog I have ever seen in my life, she has light brown eyes that I love, and she always has her ears up which makes her look even prettier.

Sometimes I look at her pictures when she was a baby and then I look at how she is now and and she doesn't look much like, but I am completely sure that no one has that no one has ever exchanged her for another one.

She is very energetic and very feisty, it doesn't matter if the dog she is fighting with is a baby, she will bark very loudly at him. She has a lot of energy, sometimes she starts running around the house without stopping, very fast, we don't know why but she does it. She loves to have sticks thrown far away and she runs to catch them. The only problem is that when she brings them back she doesn't pass them to you, she will hide them and when you go to get the stick to throw it again she puts it in her mouth and bites it hard.

I love her, she is very cute, very playful and overprotective. She also loves to have her belly rubbed and I love to do it.

BLOG 3 - The importance of knowing psychological first aid.

 Psychological first aid is understood as a help or intervention in moments of crisis, the idea is to help others to control their personal stability, emotionally, physically and cognitively. 

It is important to understand that it is not necessary to be a psychologist to do these maneuvers, because these maneuvers last for short periods and simply serve to stabilize, when you are looking to do something more specialized is best left to professionals. The cases that need this first aid generally need quick maneuvers, that is why it is of utmost importance that people have this information and know about the subject. The goal of all this in the concrete minute is that the person can get out of the state he is in and start to face the problem under his own tools.

In recent years the importance of mental health has been highlighted, the balance between body and mind has been taken more into account, for this reason different work spaces, educational spaces, etc.. They try to provide tools for people to enjoy mental health.
